About Film Oxford
What we do
Film Oxford is an arts and creative media charity supporting filmmakers, artists and digital creators. We run a programme of studio based and online training courses, exhibition & screening opportunities, and deliver project work with young people and community groups.
We are a non-profit company and registered charity (1041014) which has run under several different names, and at other premises, since 1975. For those interested in our history, we now have an extensive ‘online’ archive going back to the 1970s.
Who we work with
Film Oxford works with complete beginners, emerging talent, artists and industry professionals and is particularly committed to supporting artists and young people from socially and economically marginalised communities.
How are we funded
Over the last 20 years, we have received support from Oxford City Council, the Arts Council of England, The National Lottery, Government funding for Adult education, European funding, the BFI and charitable Trusts. We also generate our own income through our new trading wing, Film Oxford Production.
