Theamata First Aid
As a senior director and head of client liason in the TV Industry, I spent a lot of time trouble shooting and helping people. I have first hand experience of the toll that the pressures can take. I retrained as a Mental Health First Aid instructor to help people with a full understanding of the specific issues people and companies face. An educated and supported workforce can hugely reduce staff turnover, absenteeism and increase employee satisfaction.

The Looking Glass report commissoned by the Film & TV Charity shone a light on the prevalence of mental health issues in the film and TV community. Pressured deadlines, a freelance culture, ever decreasing budgets and job insecurity, not to mention a global pandemic, have created a melting pot of mental health issues. Luckily the report led to The Whole Picture Movement, a pioneering industry led movment to start work to begin to take action and spread awareness and reduce the stigma of mental health issues.
