Becoming an animation production manager is a focused training programme designed to support the career development of experienced production coordinators within animation to move into the role of production manager.

This programme, supported by the ScreenSkills Animation Skills Fund with contributions from UK animation productions and delivered by The Pipeline (University of Salford), is open to applicants in the UK regions and nations. 

Who it's for

This programme is aimed at experienced production coordinators within animation who are from the nations and regions, and are looking to move into the role of production manager. 

We welcome and encourage applications from people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds; disabled, d/Deaf and neurodiverse participants; Black, Asian and Minority Ethic (BAME) applicants and LGBTQ+ and non-binary candidates. 

What it covers

There are 20 places available on this training programme, with learning divided into five modules, each designed to bring an understanding of the key nuances of the role of the production manager. All content is underpinned with concepts and theories and their practical application within a workplace setting to inspire confidence to adopt these practices within animation projects.

Key training dates:

Group orientation: Saturday 26 February 2022, 14:00-16:30

Training: every Tuesday and Thursday throughout March 2022,18:30-21:00

'Meet the Producers' session and Q&A: 15 April 2022.

There will also be a  2 x1 hour group, open shared problem-solving sessions. Dates tbc
