Coronavirus intermediate awareness on production for HoDs

This intermediate level Covid-19 production risk awareness course is designed to prepare heads of department (HoDs), or those nominated to attend on behalf of their department head, to ensure compliance with safety measures in operation on a production.
The course will build on lessons from the last eight months and the intelligence gathered from industry since ScreenSkills introduced the free coronavirus basic awareness on production online training in June.
Each half-day session will feature information tailored to specific departments, scheduled as below:
Production (assistant directors, production and creatives)
- Thursday 7 January 2021, 10am - 1.30pm FULLY BOOKED
- Wednesday 13 January 2021, 10am - 1.30pm FULLY BOOKED
- Friday 19 February 2021, 10am - 1.30pm. FULLY BOOKED
- Wednesday 3 March 2021, 10am - 1.30pm. Application deadline: Thursday 25 February.
Locations (unit manager, location manager etc.) and Technical departments (camera, lighting, sound, electrical etc.)
- Wednesday 27 January 2021, 10am - 1.30pm FULLY BOOKED
- Thursday 25 February 2021, 10am - 1.30pm. Application deadline: Sunday 21 February.
Art department, construction, props, make-up, hair, costume and wardrobe
- Tuesday 9 February 2021, 10am - 1.30pm. FULLY BOOKED
Who it's for
This training is for HoDs or individual production staff who have been nominated by their HoD to assist in the delivery of Covid-19 health and safety arrangements on productions.
Candidates should be an experienced Head of Department or, if nominated, have at least 2 years of experience in their current role on a set of a professional scripted production.
A ScreenSkills Coronavirus basic awareness on production certificate is a prerequisite for this course.

Senior production staff who will be performing the role of the Covid-19 supervisor or compliance officer on productions should apply for the advanced level course .
What it covers
The course content will include:
- Covid-19 and transmission;
- signs and symptoms;
- spreading of coronavirus;
- protective and preventive measures;
- hierarchy of control.
The training course will last half a day and there will be a test and certificate at the end.
