Creative leadership in animation

This Creative leadership in animation programme has been designed for heads of production, directors, agency leaders, founders/managing directors and mid – senior level animation producers. It offers practical advice and insight on the skills needed to inspire and lead teams across all areas of animation.

Supported by the ScreenSkills Animation Skills Fund with contributions from UK animation productions and delivered by Indielab, the leading accelerator and training programs provider for the screen industries, the programme will guide participants and give insight to understanding the role of creative leader.

The course will be delivered online between 09.30 -13.30, on consecutive days, from Tuesday 25th June to Friday 28th June

Who it's for

This programme is aimed at founders, managers, heads of production, directors and mid-senior level producers who want to develop their Creative Leadership skillset to lead teams to deliver high-quality work and overall success.  Applicants can be either freelance or studio-based. 

ScreenSkills supports current and future generations of talent to flourish in the screen industries. We are committed to embedding diversity in all its forms, including geographic representation, in the workforce we help to build.

What it covers

Creative leadership in animation will run across four consecutive days between 09.30 -13.30,  from Tuesday 25 to Friday 28 June. It will cover:

• what makes a successful creative leader
• communication and Emotional Intelligence for leadership
• building an effective motivated creative team
• problem solving in creative teams
• building a creative environment
• creative Leadership for the long term

Applications will open on 25 March and close on 1 May. Please note that this is one of a series professional development courses for animation. The other courses are:

Each of the courses is led by an industry expert with practical experience, enhanced by sessions from accomplished animation professionals with in-depth knowledge of their relevant area of expertise.
