About the Creative Diversity Network
This module was designed by CDN and the Trainers who completed Doubling Disability Train the Trainer course.
Doubling Disability is an initiative managed by CDN that aims to double disability representation in the industry, 17% of working people in the UK identify as disabled. However, only 4.5% of those working off-screen in the UK television industry do. We monitor this through Diamond – the world’s first industry-wide data collection system for monitoring the diversity on and off screen.
This workshop uses facts and statistics drawn from the Diamond reports. Diamond enables the main UK broadcasters to collect and report on the diversity of TV production in the UK. The initiative is managed by the Creative Diversity Network (CDN) on behalf of the broadcasters.
Accessibility:
The workshop comes with an Otter.ai transcript as standard for more accurate captioning. Some will also have Live Captions.
