High-end TV regional new directors champion programme

The high-end TV regional new directors champion programme is a fully funded opportunity from the HETV Skills Fund and managed by Directors UK.
We're looking for three new and emerging directors from the Regions (England) to receive mentorship and support over 12 - 18 months. Guided by three already appointed, established and highly experienced HETV directors, successful candidates will benefit from individual guidance and attention to fully support their career development.
This programme is funded by the ScreenSkills High-end TV Skills Fund made up of contributions from high-end TV productions made in the UK.
Who it's for
This programme is for:
- directors with experience in directing continuing drama
- directors with experience in directing children's TV
- directors with experience in short films
- directors wishing to move from unscripted to scripted
Applicants must be from the Regions in England only (not London, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland).

What it covers
The successful applicant will receive:
- dedicated support from an established and experienced HETV director for 12 -18 months
- the arrangement of introductory meetings to other relevant industry professionals such as production companies, producers or commissioners
- bespoke training
- guided networking
- advice on how to market themselves
- arranged HETV set visits
- arranged shadowing opportunities
- potential second unit directing opportunities
- expenses for any travel, accommodation or other eventualities that may be incurred whilst completing programme activity
- further support from Directors UK
