So much is often outside of our control and uncertainty abounds in the Industry. This session will explore the ways to improve our wellbeing at this time introducing key information and practical strategies to manage uncertainty and support positive wellbeing.

The session will increase the awareness and understanding around mental health and will help individuals to recognise the signs and offer support to people suffering from mental distress in the workplace and in the community. 

This session is funded by the HETV Skills Fund with contributions from UK high-end TV productions.

This workshop was designed by Sarah McCaffrey psychotherapist (MBACP) and founder of Solas Mind  - the go -to mental health company in the film and tv Industry

 

Who it's for

This 90 min session is aimed at individuals working in HETV. It will be delivered via Zoom.

 

What it covers

The workshop outline will be:

  • what is mental health
  • what influences mental health
  • supporting resilience 
  • recognising the signs
  • listening and supporting
  • self care
  • Q and A

The workshop goals will be:

  • increased knowledge and empathy in relation to mental health and wellbeing
  • ability to identify the key signs and offer greater support
  • confidence in dealing with mental health issues
  • remove stigma and reduce discrimination
  • awareness and understanding of how to support our own self care
