Moving into Children’s TV
Can we fix it? Yes we can.
You’re already adept at producing content for grown ups. Now you want to take those existing skills and widen your options by making shows for younger audiences as well.
But what fresh acumen and perspectives in editorial and production management can add to those transferable skills to ensure success with young audiences and specialist commissioners, helping you move between both sectors seamlessly?
Structured around case studies and “must know’s” this two-hour session (including mid-way break) lifts the lid on this joyful “industry within an industry” including audience insights and best practice in editorial and production to grow your skills in the sector.
Run by Helen Bullough, an award-winning TV executive and journalist fresh from a stellar stint at the BBC where she spent a decade running the unit which is the UK’s largest single producer of kids content.
This session is funded by the Children’s TV Skills Fund with contributions from UK productions.
Who it's for
This session is aimed at those already working in live-action TV who wants to maximise their transferable skills across grown up and kids' content.
Open to anyone at producer/production manager level upwards.
