Who is it for?
Neurodiversity in the Screen Industries is for everyone working in television in the UK.
What will you learn?
The session will provide a greater understanding of the concept of neurodiversity and how you can apply this to make your workplace and productions more accessible for neurodivergent people.
All our modules are informed by Diamond data and provide you with an understanding of the current landscape of disability representation in television in the UK
What are the takeaways?
By the end of the session, you will have an understanding of neurodiversity, the impairments and conditions that are included under this umbrella term and how to identify and reduce challenges neurodivergent people may experience in the broadcast industries.
Practical Information:
This session is one hour with no breaks.
The session is delivered online-live using Zoom.
This session uses Figjam as a training tool during the session.
This session encourages active participation using activities, discussion and breakout rooms.
What to expect in a CDN Training Session:
CDN training sessions are small interactive workshops of up to 15 people to facilitate deeper learning. Each session will have an introduction, breakout discussion rooms, interactive activities, use of collaborative software, and call-out questions to the room. We encourage videos and active discussion in these sessions and ask that you are in an enviroment where you will be able to speak freely. If you do not want to be on video or speak, video off and interation through chat is also an option. We encourage active participation in any form for the full benefit of the session.
