Presenting and communicating with impact
As part of the Mind Your Business strand, we're offering training in a range of areas related to business management & development, production finance, legal & business affairs, rights, and compliance, giving individuals the tools needed to thrive in their chosen field in unscripted TV.
It is not just WHAT you say at a pitch, a networking event, or while giving a speech, but HOW you say it that really engages your audience and helps you to stand out from the crowd.
During this two-hour online highly interactive session, Tasneem will offer you practical tips and techniques to help you to maximise on your performance and communicate more confidently, clearly, and impactfully. The course is designed to build up your confidence, help you to manage any nerves, and to find your own genuine, authentic voice and style.
You will have the opportunity to ask questions, and practice your skills, in a safe space, and receive positive, targeted, constructive feedback from Tasneem at every stage.
Who it's for
These sessions are aimed at anyone who is working in unscripted TV and looking to learn how they can improve their presentation and pitching skills. It is making that ‘good’ first impression, when you are networking, or pitching an idea, or trying to get a job! These are valuable skills to ensure that you make an impact on your audience!
The majority of the USF online short course offering is for those at early career stage and above. As a result, we generally require applicants to have at least 3 credits (unless working in a traditionally uncredited role). If you strongly feel you would still benefit from the training, please email USF@screenskills.com so we can assess if an exception should be made.
We are committed to ensuring all our courses are accessible to everyone. This course is designed to be as interactive as possible. Please email the above address if you have any access requirements and we will be delighted to help, be that clarifying the form such interaction is likely to take or discussing reasonable adjustments.
