The script supervisor for film training programme is for those with well-established industry experience to train up to become script supervisors. The course consists of a one-week face-to-face training, taking place in Birmingham and Leeds, looking at all aspects of the roles including two practical days. The course will be followed by one-week placements. The placements will take place before end January 2023.

If you are someone who wants to be close to the action on set, likes to work independently, relishes responsibility and has:

  • Strong organisational and administration skills
  • An analytical brain and is a keen problem solver
  • Advanced diplomacy skills
  • Resilience and stamina
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure

Then this training course is for you.

You need to have:

  • Three or more years’ professional experience
  • A minimum of three credits (not including entry level/runner credits)

Those who have current and/or previous experience in the following roles are likely to have skills that would transfer well into the script supervisor role:

  • Production assistant
  • Production coordinator
  • Gallery PA (e.g. entertainment / sport)
  • Autocue operators
  • Camera assistants
  • Script editors
  • 3rd assistant directors

We also welcome applications from those looking to return to work following a career break who have equivalent experience
