Select Sessions: Building Confidence in your New Animation/VFX/Games job

The Select Sessions are a series of online employability training sessions for students studying on ScreenSkills Select endorsed courses. They provide you with professional advice on a range of topics direct from industry and focus on supporting you to gain the best opportunity for a successful career in the screen industries.  

ScreenSkills has a series of e-learning modules on Getting into the screen industries which are a prerequisite for attending any Select Session event. 

Who it's for

This online session is exclusively for ScreenSkills Select students interested in careers in games, animation and VFX.

We are also running sessions for those interested in careers in film and TV and you can explore the full programme on the Select Student Hub.

What it covers

This final session of four delivered by Lander Consulting will enable participants to establish assertive behaviours to secure a long-term career in animation, VFX, or games. The session will focus on understanding employment and freelance contracts, what to expect from induction to developing pipeline or production workflow knowledge, whilst being a reliable, and productive professional. 

How to apply

This session will take place online via a Zoom meeting. Click ‘Get ticket’ and follow the instructions to book your place: you must login or register before you are able to complete your booking.

If you are no longer able to attend, we ask you to please use the 'cancel your ticket' function on the right hand side of the page so that we can release your place to somebody else.
