Select Sessions: roles in locations management with RTS Scotland

The Select Sessions are a series of online employability training sessions for students studying on ScreenSkills Select endorsed courses. They provide you with professional advice on a range of topics direct from industry and focus on supporting you to gain the best opportunity for a successful career in the screen industries.  

ScreenSkills has a series of e-learning modules on Getting into the screen industries which are a prerequisite for attending any Select Session event.

This online session is for ScreenSkills Select/RTS Scotland students interested in careers in film & TV.

What it covers

Join us for this ScreenSkills Select industry insight webinar in partnership with RTS Scotland where an expert panel will take a deep dive in to the locations management department. Hear how the doors opened for individuals and learn about the productions they have worked on. 

The webinar will be facilitated by Fred Hannah, Curriculum Manager Media and TV, Glasgow Clyde College.

Stephanie Ariño - Location Assistant (Mayflies, The Lovers) and Trainee Unit Manager (Screw)

Gavin Luna - Assistant Location Manager (Mayflies, The Control Room) and Unit Manager (Guilt, Shetland)

Ashley McKee - Location Manager (The Scotts)

How to apply

This session will take place online via Zoom. Click ‘Get ticket’ and follow the instructions to book your place: you must login or register before you are able to complete your booking.

If you are no longer able to attend, we ask you to please use the “cancel your ticket” function on the right hand side of the page so that we can release your place to somebody else.
