The Select Sessions are a series of online employability training sessions for students studying on ScreenSkills Select endorsed courses. They provide you with professional advice on a range of topics direct from industry and focus on supporting you to gain the best opportunity for a successful career in the screen industries.
ScreenSkills has a series of e-learning modules on Getting into the screen industries which are a prerequisite for attending any Select Session event.
Who it's for
This online session is exclusively for ScreenSkills Select students interested in careers in film & TV.
We are also running sessions for those interested in careers in games, animation and VFX and you can explore the full programme on the Select Student Hub.

- Are you thinking about your first job in the screen industries?
- Would you like to know about alternative entry points to kickstart your career?
- Do you have skills which would be valuable in a different role?
No two routes into screen are identical, so don’t miss the chance to learn about the different ways you can get started. With practical tips and insights from industry experts, this one-hour intensive webinar will explore several alternative pathways into the screen industries, from kit hire, to personal assisting, coordinating to development. Your career could go in a direction you didn’t know existed!
This ScreenSkills Select Employability session is delivered by Mission Accomplished who will be joined by a panel of industry professionals with recent experience of breaking into the industry in one of these alternative roles and will share their expertise and insight on getting started:

How to apply
This session will take place online via Zoom. Click ‘Get ticket’ and follow the instructions to book your place: you must login or register before you are able to complete your booking.
If you are no longer able to attend, we ask you to please use the 'cancel your ticket' function on the right hand side of the page so that we can release your place to somebody else.
