Action Xtreme, a leading UK production company specialising in action filmmaking, is thrilled to announce the launch of its Women in Action mentorship programme aimed at supporting UK based women creatives across all filmmaking disciplines within the action genre.
This 12-month initiative comes as part of Action Xtreme's commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in the film industry, and marks the first of several upcoming initiatives planned by the company to foster new, exciting and diverse voices in the UK.
Our Women in Action mentorship programme will work with talented creative women who are ready to take the next step in their careers, supporting them to transition from servicing and working on others' projects within the action space to developing their own content. Individuals selected for the programme may have already honed their skills and gained valuable experience working in various capacities within the industry, and are now ready to seek the opportunity to bring their own visions to life.
The programme caters to those with a passion for directing, writing, producing and navigating the complexities of distribution, and delves into the intricacies of content creation and dissemination strategies, while prioritising the elevation of talent within the industry. By encompassing project development, industry networking and career planning, participants will have the chance to refine their skills and position their talent front and centre within the industry.
Action Xtreme’s Women in Action mentorship programme is open for applications now and will support six to eight individuals over the course of 12 months, with personalised mentorship from industry professionals, including directors, producers, writers, cinematographers and editors, all with extensive experience in action filmmaking.
Applications close Monday 30 December 2024 at 6pm GMT.
