About
Ruth is a camera operator who has been working in the camera department on high-end TV and features for more than 20 years. Her most recent operating credits include Silo series 1 and 2 for Apple/AMC and Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power series 2 for Amazon TV. She began working as a director of photography on short form projects in May 2022, her DoP credits include award winning short films F**ked and The Herring Girls, music promo Issy Wood -Both with director Lena Dunham, and additional photography on upcoming documentary series A History of the World in 6 Glasses for Fox Nation.
Ruth is currently a HETV Leader of Tomorrow. Participants in the three-year inclusion programme for mid-level professionals are nominated by senior colleagues in high-end TV. Her nominator Laurie Rose said: “I nominated Ruth Woodside for Leaders of Tomorrow because there could not be a more perfect candidate.
