About
Natasha read music and Italian at university and went on to get work experience with Queen and Roger Taylor’s sound engineer. That sound engineer advised her to look for a career in film and TV sound recording. She took this advice and gained a postgraduate diploma at the National Film and TV School. She was lucky enough to get a job straight after graduation as a trainee on Broadchurch Series 2. She has had a very busy 10 years in the industry progressing her career and has loved every minute. This year, she has stepped up as head of department on dailies for Alex Rider Series 3 and McDonald and Dodds. She is working towards being a sound department HOD.
Natasha has a two and a three-year-old. It has been a challenging work environment to be a woman and mother. Thankfully she sees things are changing and she hopes to help make the industry a better place for parents, so that crew do not have to make the choice of continuing to work or having a family.
Natasha is currently a HETV Leader of Tomorrow. Participants in the three-year inclusion programme for mid-level professionals are nominated by senior colleagues in high-end TV. Her nominator Bruce Wills said: "Tash will bring a unique set of skills and experiences to the workplace that can be valuable to any production. She is highly organised, resourceful and adaptable. She is also well-versed in multitasking, managing time effectively and has a great ability to connect with actors and fellow crew on a personal level. Tash is very passionate about her work, is committed to her career and has the ability to inspire and motivate others."
