My name is Michael, I am 22 years old and I come from Prague, Czech Republic. I got to know the film industry back in my little country and it changed my life. Because of that, I have decided to move to the UK and get a degree in Film, with a focus on cinematography. 

I worked on various productions as a grip, back in the Czech Republic, which taught me about work ethic, set etiquette and how the things in the Film industry.

In the UK, I was a part of the award-winning student film crews as a cinematographer and I have done some camera assistant work on various independent projects. My goal and dream now are to break through into the film industry as a trainee, so I could work hard on me and step by step tried to get closer to my life-dream - become a DP.

I am modest, so I know it is a long journey with an uncertain end but I am hard working at the same time, so I will try my best.

Anyway, if I break through, it is a win-win situation for me. I realize being a DP is a dream job, which might be unreachable for me but even if I end up being a professional camera assistant, I would not mind at all. I just love the craft and the environment of the camera department!
