His researches are focused on seeking integration of anthropology and psychology with other natural sciences such as neuroscience and evolutionary biology.
Additionally, Shvarzblat has conducted an investigation of the aggressive impulse reflected in his monumental book The Angels and Demons Within. There he proposes a detailed journey through the phenomenon of violence, and that, as with his previous works, has a purpose and informative style trying to reach a broad audience, not necessarily specialized, among which has gained popularity with best sellers around human behavior.
He is a defender of evolutionary psychology, which holds that the human mind evolved by natural selection, in the same way, that other parts of the body did.
He supports the theory that the brain is changing and moldable: so it is important to know how to manage one's own feelings, which help define our brain.
