About
Annie Little works mainly in High End television and film, working on productions like Queen Charlotte, Small Axe, Sitting in Limbo, Victoria and commercials. Although she started in the TV industry as a trainee, Annies career in hair and makeup began over 20 years ago. From the outset she supported teams and observed what it took to run a run a hair and makeup department, and how to make actors look great on screen.
Annie has progressed steadily - working as an artist, a hair and makeup coordinator, a crowd supervisor and a designer on shorts, and independent feature films. She has worked in and around London, the UK and abroad.
Currently a ScreenSkills Leader of Tomorrow Annie supports the industry in its quest for diversity, seeing the need for more diverse leadership and management roles especially in the Hair and Makeup Department. To support this mission Annie founded BLCKSTR; which are workshops that support HMUA artists and productions in working more confidently with textured hair and makeup on deep skin tones.
Along the way because Annie has been supported and mentored by others she is giving back by being a mentor herself.
