Experience

  1. Script Secretary/Assistant Script Editor

    Lion TV · Feb 2022 - Dec 2022

I was the script secretary for Horrible Histories Series 10 &11 . This role encompassed what I would best describe as a development assistant and assistant script editor. I was an active member in writer’s room discussions and transcribing history research identified as areas to further develop. I was responsible for compiling pitches and providing direction in the deliberation as part of the creative and editorial team in commissioning pitches. I managed the liaison with writers, the Series Producer Matt Lamont, agents, and production by sending commission emails and creating a tracking database in Excel. I collated and proof-read scripts for read throughs and provided feedback to writers to develop sketches. I demonstrated interdisciplinary team working with the history team for additional fact and accent checking as well as cast selection with the editorial team. I made deft use of Final Draft to track, edit and distribute scripts to crew and cast throughout the script editing process with the Head Writer and editorial team from writing stages until printing sides during the shoot and creating amendment memos every day. I comfortably stepped onto set to suggest creative pick-ups during takes. I managed the autocue process on shoot using Teleprompter.

  2. Comedy Development Co-ordinator

    Tiger Aspects · Jan 2021 - Jan 2022

I was responsible for researching, creative brainstorming and effective collaboration between the development team and talent. I was responsible for writing and creating pitch materials using Adobe Creative Suite; delivering pitches to channels and SVODs. I was established relationships with emerging writers, junior commission editors and agents across the industry. I was working across multiple developments and submissions in creative and administrative capacities. I created and maintaining slate, submissions, and talent databases. I created and updating channel briefs according to meetings. I generated and developed ideas. I script read, script edited and developed treatments. I also entered shows for awards.
