About
Garry David Frost is a seasoned senior visual effects (VFX) coordinator and production manager. His journey began at Passion Animation Studios, where he immersed himself in the world of animated commercials, working across disciplines ranging from 2D and stop-motion to virtual reality (VR) and VFX. This expertise brought him to Netflix, where he led the VFX coordination for the highly acclaimed film Enola Holmes, followed by Disney and Ridley Scott's The Last Duel. In 2021, he returned to Netflix as production manager for the sequel, Enola Holmes 2.
Continuously eager to develop his craft in the many areas production offers, Garry took a step back and joined The Witcher Season 3 as a senior VFX coordinator. This allowed him to learn alongside the award-winning team while simultaneously pursuing a Master's degree in Environment and Sustainability.
Throughout his career, Garry has consistently demonstrated his ability to effectively manage complex projects. He has extensive experience and understanding of the CG, VFX, and post production pipeline, coupled with a firm emphasis on teamwork and collaboration. Always keen to learn and develop, Garry is also a member of BAFTA Crew's 2020 cohort and a freelance director with Directors UK.
Garry is currently a HETV Leader of Tomorrow. Participants in the three-year inclusion programme for mid-level professionals are nominated by senior colleagues in high-end TV. Garry’s nominator Sophie Jackson said: "Garry is an exceptional talent. He is always willing to go the extra mile to be the best teammate he can be. I nominated Garry because I believe with more confidence and mentorship, Garry will be a fantastic leader, manager and mentor. He has a very compassionate and inclusive approach to his work and I would like to see more leaders like this in the industry. We would love to support Garry on his journey to becoming an HOD and I think the industry is very lucky to have him."
