About
I come from a background in hospitality, having worked my way up to conference supervisory level in the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (now known as the Scottish Events Campus or SEC), meaning I am adept and well-versed working in kinetic and high-pressure environments both leading and as part of a team.
I am a Dewar Arts Awardee (2017) and was granted a scholarship by The Robertson Trust to attend the New York Film Academy. I have an extensive writing portfolio which includes feature length screenplays (one science-fiction fantasy, one drama), TV and web series spec scripts and an original TV pilot and show bible for a half hour, two act sit-com. Alongside these, I have written, directed, edited and produced a short film and written several short films, one of which started production in Bermuda over Summer 2017. University of Glasgow press published my honours dissertation concerning the appeal of immaturity within film and television. I am currently collaborating with author Deborah Sanderson to adapt and develop her novel, The Wonder Turner, into a three part screenplay.
I am proficient using Microsoft Office programs, and can edit with Adobe Premiere, Avid Composer and Sony Vegas. I am confident using video and audio equipment and have extensive experience of Final Draft. I can operate these on both Mac and PC systems.
I have held a full, clean UK driving licence since 27/01/2011.
