BFI Network x BAFTA Crew 2019/20

I have a curiosity to seek and create stories of kindred spirits: the quiet, the strange, the hidden and the overlooked people that surround us. My work challenges cultural stigmas through making atmospheric, emotive documentary and fiction films that defy convention and stereotypes.

My filmmaking has been funded in the UK by BBC, Arts Council England, BFI DocSociety and Joseph Rowntree Foundation and internationally by Hartley Foundation (US), Statens Kunstfond (Denmark) and Frøken Marie Månssons (Denmark), allowing me to cinematically immerse myself in subjects ranging from dementia care homes, living with psychosis, illiterate teenage boys, Albanian transgender ex-communist soldiers, rural Welsh vicars to disappearing fishing communities.

With an MA in Visual Arts, a BA in English Literature and professional experience ranging from programming festival Sheffield Doc/Fest, to shooting, editing and directing films for TV, commercial and impact campaigns - I am an innate storyteller favouring projects with a social conscience.
