My name is Venice Marshall and I have been a makeup artist working within the industry for 8 years. For the last year I have been on the Main Team for BBC’s Casualty. I have become adept with SFX work and have moved up the ladder to embrace a supervisor role to the designers. I am enjoying the process, the support and confidence this has given me and most of all the experience on the job with various teams.

I currently live in Cardiff and have accommodation in East Riding of Yorkshire area and London due to family living either ends of the country. Perhaps why I am now situated in the middle to even the balance- and I also love the Welsh. I will learn the language….one day!

I’m always happy to travel anywhere I am needed, including overseas.

My journey started in the Body Painting world -, I am a strong Airbrush artist as well as with other mediums. After winning competitions I started to teach workshops at colleges, helping students get over the fear of the airbrush and larger canvases. I also attended many festivals and events with my own team within the entertainment industry and have had my work published in magazines.

My wig experience was gained at The Wig Room Academy run by the Bafta winning Vincenza Meile. Developing my knowledge working on theatre productions such as The Phantom of the Opera and Lion King, - where I learned great SFX and wig skills, and to be quick and think on my feet. This proved a solid foundation before entering the film and TV industries working on crowd. I Love the buzz and pressure of a crowd tent, a feeling of great satisfaction and teamwork.

My most recent achievements are designing two shorts and being placed on the Leaders of Tomorrow Programme after a nomination from a producer in High End TV. I am excited to see where my next chapter takes me.
