Distribution assistant 

One year fixed-term contract

Full time | Hybrid/office-based  

Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about animation and TV distribution? We’re looking for a distribution assistant to support our international sales and distribution team.  

About the role  

You’ll play a key role in streamlining administrative processes, managing content delivery, and keeping essential tracking documents up to date. You’ll also support trade fairs, screenings, and industry events while ensuring marketing materials and assets are well-organised.  

Key responsibilities  

Sales and distribution support:  

  • Upload and update marketing materials on virtual platforms
  • Maintain and update tracking documents for TV, home entertainment, cinema and festival activities
  • Gather and manage contract-related documentation, including launch dates
  • Collect and track royalty statements from licensees, resolving discrepancies
  • Assist in organising trade fairs and industry events, preparing sales and marketing materials
  • Help track expenses and budgets, working with finance to reconcile costs
  • Contribute to the creation of pitch decks for sales purposes  

Screenings and cinema support:  

  • Track UK and international cinema releases, updating schedules and locations
  • Chase and collect weekly box office returns, ensuring accurate reporting
  • Process and record financial box office data, supporting analysis and reporting 
  • Work with finance to issue, track, and follow up on royalty invoices and payments  

Material and asset management:  

  • Support the team in gathering production and marketing assets for distribution
  • Maintain records of digital and physical assets, ensuring accessibility
  • Update metadata for programmes in both original and localised versions
  • Assess asset management processes and suggest improvements  

Foreign versioning support:  

  • Track and maintain records of localised versions created by clients 
  • Ensure documentation (contracts, studio details, credits) is organised and accessible 
  • Assist in acquiring local versions from clients and broadcasters
  • Manage local language wordmarks, ensuring correct storage and access  

What we’re looking for  

  • one-two years' experience in an administrative/data entry role
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent spreadsheet/database skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines 
  • Confident communicator who enjoys collaborating across teams
  • A proactive problem-solver who takes initiative
