BAFTA wins for Film Skills Fund contributing productions

There were big wins for productions that contributed to the Film Skills Fund at this year’s BAFTAs. Two of the night’s biggest winners were Poor Things and The Zone of Interest, each having contributed to the ScreenSkills managed Film Skills Fund.

Yorgos Lanthimos’s Poor Things, a cyberpunk fairytale centred on an adult woman with a child’s brain, collected five prizes on the night with Emma Stone rewarded for her performance with the Best Actress award.

It also picked up prizes in the make-up and hair, costume design, production design and special visual effects categories.

Fellow contributor The Zone of Interest won three of the 11 awards it was nominated for. Jonathan Glazer’s starkly realised adaptation of a Martin Amis novel saw wins in the Best British Film, Best Film in a Foreign Language and Best Sound categories.

Contributions from productions like these go on the help the Fund deliver training and career opportunities for the UKs film workforce at every stage of their screen journey. We thank them for their contribution and congratulate them on their BAFTA wins.
