The start of the new year has seen the High-end TV Skills funded job-share programme with Share My Telly Job start with a bang.

One hundred industry professionals made up 50 job-share pairs that have already featured in a dedicated talent brochure, with more behind-the-camera crew continuing to pair up. Pairs are represented from nearly every department, from hair and make-up artists to camera operators and editors to assistant directors.

Each of the pairs have started attending their 'powerhouse partnerships' training with exec coach Hannah Corneck and are learning how management and leadership skills can be applied to how they manage their new partnership as well as relationships with the teams around them.

The programme has now confirmed job-share placements on several HETV productions, such as Passenger, Lost Boys and Fairies, A Thousand Blows, The Lazarus Project, The Gentleman, and Cobra. This follows on from the previous HETV craft and tech Job-share programme which placed pairs on Sex Education, Waterloo Road, Brassic and Better.

The ScreenSkills HETV Job-sharing programme facilitates job-sharing on high-end TV productions by pairing and training job-sharers and funding an additional day a week so that the pair may have an in-person handover day, giving the pair the best possible chance of success.

If you are interested in becoming part of a job-share pair or are an HETV production looking to benefit from the extra creativity and energy that a job-share can bring, please contact Michelle Reynolds at Share My Telly Job on: michelle@smtj.tv
