Data can be gathered from accounts ledgers, production documents, directly from vendors, and on-the-ground reporting by the sustainability team.
Communication is key
Sustainability coordinators educate crew and create awareness through call sheet reminders, crew newsletters, and in-person meetings to ensure everyone is on board.
Focus on key impact areas
Address high-impact areas such as energy use, waste management, travel, and catering. For instance, promote plant-based meals, avoid single-use plastics, and prioritise renewable power sources.
Be adaptive
Every production has unique challenges - whether it's remote locations or time constraints. A good sustainability coordinator is resourceful, collaborating with vendors, crew, and studios to find innovative solutions.
