Three productions that contributed to the Animation Skills Fund have been nominated for this year’s Annie Awards.
The awards, hosted by ASIFA, the International Animated Film Society, champion the art of global animation and are seen as animation’s highest honour.
There were seven nominations for The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, including for Best Special Production. There were also nominations for Superworm in the Best Special Production category and for Moominvalley in the Best TV/Media – Children category.
This year marks the awards’ 50th anniversary with the ceremony taking place on 25 February.
