An Oceanographer / Zoologist and experienced scuba-diving Instructor, John began his TV career at the BBC’s Natural History Uni and has since produced/directed all over the world in many different genres from factual entertainment, documentaries to drama-documentaries and drama.
Talent spotted by BAFTA and trained as a multi-camera drama director at the BBC Academy, John has a strong track record with major broadcasters,
Profoundly deaf from birth, John is an instinctive story-teller with a cinematic flair. As Writer / Director, he won an RTS Best Fiction award for his first short film, Caterpillar which premiered at EIFF.
An experienced producer/director and executive producer with a strong track record of diverse creative and robust editorial content for digital and broadcast. Deeply passionate about diversity, John is a fully inclusive leader and creative collaborator.
