Introduction
These AI skills checklists have been designed to provide information for freelancers working in high-end TV (HETV) and film about the skills, future advancements in technology and the AI tools already in use in production.
These are non-exhaustive lists that can be adapted and tailored to your own requirements, depending on the size, genre or type of company or production you are working in.
The AI skills checklists aim to support the skills development of freelancers and employees on film and scripted TV productions.
Please note that there are currently 20 roles which have been evaluated with research and prioritised for industry from the High-end TV Skills Fund and Film Skills Fund working groups.
What information is on the AI skills checklists?
The AI skills checklists provide the following information about each job role:
- AI overview: a summary of how AI tools are already being used in the role, how these might develop and the benefits learning how to use the tools and integrating AI into your job role.
- Preparing for the future: the specific actions you should take to skill up and integrate AI into your day-to-day work.
- Embracing AI: the benefits of using AI tools and and why it will help you.
- What AI tools are available now: a detailed look a the software and other tools that are already being used in the role, plus how AI is expected to develop and change the role in the future.
