What is career stage?
Use this guide to help decide what career stage your activity is most suited to.
Entry: For those people who are just entering the screen industries. They are still figuring out their career path and working towards their first professional credits.
Early: For those people who are establishing their screen industry career, have a couple of professional credits and a sense of the role or department they want to work in, even if they’re not regularly working within it yet.
Experienced: For those people who left education more than five years ago and are progressing with their career. They’re regularly working in their chosen department, have a number of professional credits and might be expected to control budgets or oversee crew.
Expert: For those people who left education more than 10 years ago and are acknowledged as an expert in their specific job role or department. They have built up a portfolio of professional credits and regularly work in advanced positions. They are highly regarded in their field and may be in control of departmental budgets.
