Invitation to tender: Trainee Finder induction 2025 (project manager)

The Film Skills Fund, Children’s TV Skills Fund and High-end TV (HETV) Skills Fund are looking for a training provider or organisation that can project manage and deliver the Induction training for our newly recruited and incoming cohort of Trainees for 2025/26 on our flagship new entrant training programme Trainee Finder.

Who can apply?

We welcome applications from training providers and organisations with a proven track record of delivering successful industry-standard training projects in particular for new entrants.

The provider must demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of working across high-end TV and film and to demonstrate and ensure inclusion, access and equity for all. . They must also demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the ScreenSkills Trainee Finder programme.

ScreenSkills particularly welcomes applications from providers based across the whole of the UK including partnerships between organisations and/or in partnership with freelancers who work in HETV and film and could deliver some elements of the training.

Training providers must:

  • demonstrate evidence of appropriate, recent engagement and delivery  with industry in the design and delivery of training
  • meet critical diversity targets as outlined in this tender, including:
    • making reasonable adjustments to the training delivery to ensure it is accessible to all participants
    • having an equality policy in place as an employer,
  • ensuring that  participants complete an end-of-initiative survey at the end of the training with the agreement if they are happy for ScreenSkills to use their feedback as quotes that might be used to promote the programme.
  • develop a clear structure for the training, ensuring  it is outcome-focused and achieves its aims and objectives         

Key requirements

The training provider or organisation must arrange, manage, deliver and collect feedback for the Trainee Finder induction sessions that take place in March 2025. Ensuring the smooth running of the online induction training of roughly 300 trainees.

This must  include:

  • work with the Trainee Finder delivery team to ensure we offer an outstanding level of “set-ready” training
  • contacting and booking trainers/ freelancers
  • creating an efficient and achievable training carousel of online delivery and timetable
  • ensuring trainers and trainees are aware of training dates and times
  • attend the sessions to host and monitor trainers

The ideal candidate would have

  • extensive knowledge of the training required for new entrants in the film and HETV industry
  • excellent project management skills
  • resourceful technical experience in setting up and hosting multiple training sessions online
  • flexible working attitude and proactive attitude to problem-solving
  • have a strong understanding of the Trainee Finder programme

Preferred

  • Skilled at hosting online panels with strong public speaking skills
  • Connected with a network of departmental/soft skills trainers that are based across the UK

Participant targets

The training will be for roughly 300 trainees who will be part of the ScreenSkills Trainee Finder programme(2025-26) ScreenSkills will provide the names and details of the successful and eligible participants to the training provider/organisation.

At this stage we are requesting an expression of interest. Please complete this brief document outlining the key aspects of the delivery plan, how the key requirements of the programme will be met, and information about the company and the provider's capacity to deliver the programme.

We are looking for bids up to £13,000. Bids that can demonstrate a funding match to maximise the budget will be welcome.
